Writers write, but not all writers write blogs. And not all writers who write blogs write blogs regularly.

Me? I write everyday.
If you get an email from me, you might notice the four words in Latin that show up in my signature line: Nulla dies sine linea. It’s a proverb attributed to Pliny the Elder, and it originally referred to the Greek painter Apelles of Kos.
It means “not a day without a line.”
Like many writers and artists (and some are both), I strive to never go a day without writing a line.
I write for my clients.
I write for my wife.
I write for folks who want to read what I’ve written.
But whatever I write, I write it for God. That’s not as pious as it might come across. I just mean that I want everything I write to in some way honor God. What I write often says nothing overtly about God, but it still should honor Him. And if it doesn’t, then I’ve missed the mark.
As I resume writing blogs, that’s my commitment — to honor God with the words you find here. But you won’t find new words here everyday. Or even on a predictable schedule. I’ve tried that before and, frankly, it just doesn’t work well for me. I get busy with work for my clients or with other activities like mowing the yard or sitting on a beach somewhere wondering about the life story of the guy with the cart who sells snow cones.
Still, I’d like to write a blog for this site at least once a week, so I’ll aim at that target and see what I hit.
The plan is to cover a variety of topics: Writing, journalism, Jesus, my books, publishing, and life, although not in that order. That’s what you can expect. If you enjoy it, follow along and share it with friends.
